2024 Culture Summit FAQ's

Registration

Culture Ambassadors in attendance can expect to learn from a variety of Subject Matter Experts in key resource fields, while enjoying fun surprises throughout the program! See the the Program & Resources page for a detailed agenda!

This year's Culture Summit will be held at our Corporate Campus in Dallas in Wings Rooms 1-3 (Wings Building: 2195 Research Row, Dallas, TX 75235) on Friday, February 2 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. CT. Culture Ambassadors are invited to join us for a special reception at Globe Life Field before the DAL Rally on Thursday and then stay for the Culture Summit on Friday!

 

Culture Summit will take place in Wings Rooms 1-3. Follow the directional signage when you enter through the Wings Lobby! 

Upon arrival at Globe Life Field, all attendees will enter Globe Life Field via the TXU North entrance, closest to Texas Live! You'll go through a dual check-in process, first checking in for Culture Summit, then for Rally, and you'll receive a designated dual-Rally/Culture Summit lanyard. The Pre-Rally Reception will be held in the Karbach Brewing space, and directional signage in the venue will show attendees where to proceed from check-in. Besides, most obviously, your Fun-LUVing Attitude, please bring:

  • ​Your Southwest badge
  • Casual, comfortable clothes (we do not recommend wearing your uniform or any uniform pieces)
  • A light jacket if you get cold easily

The following meals will be provided throughout our time together, with options included for those with dietary restrictions:

  • Lunch at the Pre-Rally Reception
  • Dinner at the Rally
  • Breakfast at the Crowne Plaza Hotel (each morning for those staying extra nights)
  • Light morning refreshments in the Wings Rooms
  • Lunch in the Wings Rooms

Additional meals needed due to travel plan timing should be expensed to Culture & Communications (details to be provided following the event). Don't forget, you must keep and submit your itemized receipts. According to Southwest's Business Travel Policy, up to $66 per day is reimbursable through Culture & Communications with the expectation that attendees partake in meals provided to them as part of Rally and Culture Summit. Please also use good judgment and do not expense the full daily allotment, if possible. 

Just as Southwest compensates Employees for training and other Employee development, active members of the Culture Ambassador Program may participate on Company time**

**Approved Compensation:

Culture Summit registration for active Culture Ambassadors will be open December 18 through January 11 and registration is required with your WNCO email address. Because we’re managing hotels for our attendees, it was very important to register by January 11, so we can be sure everyone who needs accommodations has them. 

 

Only active Culture Ambassadors will see the option to register for the Culture Summit. If you have technical difficulties when registering, email SWACulture@wnco.com.

As Culture Summit is the primary time we’re able to gather together from across the system, we hope all Culture Ambassadors are able to join us! 

 

There is no virtual streaming option for the Summit, but we’ll be sure to share materials after the meeting for those unable to attend. Additionally, this is a closed event, available only to active Culture Ambassadors, and we cannot accept substitutions. If you have questions, please reach out to SWACulture@wnco.com.

 

If you previously registered, please modify your registration to let us know you can no longer attend. Because we’re managing hotels for our attendees, it is very important to inform us by January 11. You can also decline your invitation to Culture Summit, if you have not yet registered. To do this, please open the emailed invitation and click the button to decline the invite. 

Culture Summit is a private event for active Culture Ambassadors only. Rest assured, there will be plenty of time for fellowship with our other Cohearts during the DAL Rally on Thursday!

We encourage you to secure your flights prior to completing registration. Request your NRMR flights through your Authorized Booking Specialist. Important arrival and departure timing:

  • Thursday, February 1 – Non-local Ambassadors should book flights arriving no later than 11:00 a.m. CT
  • Friday, February 2 – Non-local Ambassadors should book flights departing no earlier than 4:30 p.m. CT

Hotel accommodations are managed by Culture & Communications and are part of the Culture Summit registration process, which closed January 11. All invited Culture Ambassadors are eligible for accommodations the night of February 1. Non-local attendees should only request additional hotel nights when flight options do not allow them to be present for the entire event (Rally or Culture Summit).

 

If you previously registered and can no longer attend, please modify your registration to let us know. Because we’re managing hotels for our attendees, it is very important to inform us so we can update our hotel partners.

Ground transportation to and from the Dallas Love Field airport, Globe Life Field, and Crowne Plaza hotel will be provided by Culture & Communications for all Culture Summit attendees. For those attending Rally with other Cohearts, please keep in mind shuttle service and Lyft codes for the venues are only for Culture Summit attendees.  The Lyft code is LFCPGLFW

 

Checking in January 31?

Here's your transportation plan:

  • After arriving at Dallas Love Field, use Lyft code to get to the Crowne Plaza Hotel to check in. 
  • The next morning, a Hotel-to-Rally Echo Transportation shuttle will depart at 10:00 a.m. from the Crowne Plaza for Globe Life Field. Following the event, a Rally-to-Hotel Echo Transportation shuttle will depart at 7:00 p.m. to take all Ambassadors from Globe Life Field to the Crowne Plaza Hotel. 
  • A Hotel-to-Wings Echo Transportation shuttle will depart at 8:00 a.m. After Culture Summit ends, Ambassadors departing for Dallas Love Field should look for the Echo Transportation shuttle bus outside of Wings, which will depart at 3:00 p.m. There is also a regular Employee shuttle that departs from the LEAD center at :17 and :47 of every hour. Ambassadors departing for the Crowne Plaza Hotel to stay the night of February 2 should look for the Echo Transportation shuttle bus outside of Wings, which will depart at 3:00 p.m.


Checking in February 1?

Here's your transportation plan:

  • After arriving at Dallas Love Field, use the Lyft code to get to Globe Life Field. Those arriving early who have time may use the Lyft code to go to the Crowne Plaza hotel, and will then use the Lyft code (not the shuttle) to get to Globe Life Field. It is not necessary to go to the Crowne Plaza before Globe Life Field, as a bag drop will be available for attendees.
  • A Rally-to-Hotel shuttle will depart at 7:00 p.m. to take all Ambassadors from Globe Life Field to the Crowne Plaza Hotel. 
  • A Hotel-to-Wings Echo Transportation shuttle will depart at 8:00 a.m. 
  • After Culture Summit ends, Ambassadors departing for Dallas Love Field should look for the Echo Transportation shuttle bus outside of Wings, which will depart at 3:00 p.m. There is a regular Employee shuttle that departs from the LEAD center at :17 and :47 of every hour; however, please plan on taking the dedicated Ambassador shuttle instead if at all possible. Ambassadors departing for the Crowne Plaza Hotel to stay the night of February 2 should look for the Echo Transportation shuttle bus outside of Wings, which will depart at 3:00 p.m.

 

Local to Dallas?

Here's your transportation plan:

  • Getting to & from the DAL Rally:

    • Culture Ambassadors local to Dallas will have the option of driving themselves and parking in Lot B or taking a Lyft to Globe Life Field from the Wings building. Please note that the Lyft code will not work departing from a personal address.
    • A Rally-to-Hotel shuttle departs at 7:00 p.m. to take all Ambassadors from Globe Life Field to the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Look for the Echo Transportation shuttle bus outside the Rally check-in area. Ambassadors driving themselves and staying at the Crowne Plaza hotel will have free parking.
  • Getting to Culture Summit:

    • Friday morning for Culture Summit should look for the Echo Transportation shuttle bus in the loop driveway outside Hotel Registration. The shuttle will depart at 8:00 a.m.
    • Alternatively, Ambassadors are welcome to drive themselves.

 

 

What should I do if I miss the shuttle?

  • First of all, please don't miss the shuttle. If you do, though, you'll be able to use the Lyft code to get where you need to go. Please note that the code only works between Dallas Love Field, Globe Life Field, Wings, and the Crowne Plaza hotel.

For those traveling directly to the DAL Rally from the airport, look for the Bag Drop near the Help Desk. On the day of Culture Summit, directional signage will indicate an on-site bag drop location. 

Those who plan on driving to the Rally can plan to park in Lot B. The Crowne Plaza offers free parking. For more details, visit the transportation section of the hotel website.

Other Important Notes

Please note that the Rally is a high-sensory event with lights, noise, and a crowded environment. If, based on a documented medical condition, you would like to request any accommodation(s) during this Culture Event, please contact the Southwest Airlines Accommodations Team. You should contact the Team as soon as possible. You will be asked to provide medical documentation to support your request, and that can occasionally take time as you work with your medical provider. Be sure to contact the Accommodations Team each time you are attending a Culture Event if you have an accommodation request due to a medical condition. After reviewing the information provided by you and your medical provider, the Accommodations Team will advise you and the Culture Team accordingly.
