Who's invited to attend Operations Assembly?

Operational Leaders are expected to gather for Ops Assembly as the primary audience. New this year, all Leaders are also invited to tune in virtually if they have capacity!

Note: The event is invite-only. Please don’t share the registration link with others.

Who's invited to attend Leadership Summit?

All Southwest Leaders are invited to attend Leadership Summit. In addition, SMC Leaders receive an allocation of invitations to extend to a limited number of Employees in their department.

Note: The event is invite-only. Please don’t share the registration link with others.

I see the learning events are hybrid. What does that mean?

Hybrid means that there will be both in person and virtual attendees.  Any Leader has the option to attend these learning events virtually!  Streaming virtually means that more People have accessibility to the learning opportunities.  Although we hope to grow the in-person audience over time, this year's in-person attendance is smaller than in previous years because of space limitations, operational needs, and costs.

Can I attend the event(s) in person?

It depends. If you’re a Director or above, then you’re invited to attend in person at our TOPS building in Dallas. All other Leaders should attend virtually due to space limitations.

I'm not able to attend the event(s) in person. Can I send an alternate in my place?

No. Directors and above aren’t permitted to send alternates in their place if they’re unable to attend in person. Thank you for your understanding.

I'm not able to attend the event(s). Will there be a recording available after the event(s)?

Yes! A recording of both events is available now on the Virtual Event HubYou're still eligible to receive LMS credit if you tune into the recording post-event through the end of 2022. After that, we'll move the recordings to the Leadership Summit page on SWALife for reference in 2023. If you have not already registered to attend virtually, you will need to register or modify your current registration so that we can track your attendance.

How will I get the link to tune in virtually?

The day before the event(s), you will be sent a link to our Virtual Event Hub, hosted on this site, where you can tune in live to the event(s) you registered for. We'll wait to email that to you, so that it's toward the top of your inbox and easy to find on the day of the event.

If I'm attending virtually, how will I participate throughout the day?

The virtual experience will include a live chat feature and the opportunity to engage via Slido.

Is there an option to attend the event(s) virtually?

Yes! As a Southwest Leader, you're invited to tune in virtually for easy viewing.

I'm attending virtually. Do I need to be camera-ready?

No. You'll automatically join the event(s) on mute and with your camera off. Grab a cup of coffee, a notebook, and get cozy!

What should I wear if I'm attending the event(s) in person?

If you're attending in person, attire is business casual--bonus points if it's Southwest branded!

I registered but can no longer attend. Do I need to cancel?

Yes, please! To cancel or switch from in-person to virtual attendance, sign into your registration. Click the "Actions" button next to your name and select the page that you want to return to. Select "Agenda" to change your selection to virtual instead of in person. Select "Cancel Registrant" to cancel your registration completely.

My Team or group of Cohearts would like to tune in together. Can we all be counted as attended if only one person logs in to view the live stream?

Yes! The Leader hosting can submit an attendance report on behalf of the group. For Ops Assembly, fill out this form, and for Leadership Summit, fill out this form.

How do I request a medical accommodation for this event?

If, based on a documented medical condition, you'd like to request an accommodation, please contact the Southwest Airlines Accommodations Team as soon as possible. You can reach them via e-mail at Accommodations.Team@wnco.com or by phone at (214) 792-4792.

They'll ask you to provide medical documentation to support your request, which can occasionally take time as you work with your medical provider. Note: Contact the Accommodations Team each time you are attending an event, if you have an accommodation request due to a medical condition. After reviewing the information provided by you and your medical provider, the Accommodations Team will advise you and the event organizers accordingly.
