General Information

Rallies are unique to Southwest—this tradition began in 1985 with the original Message to the Field. The Southwest Rally is an opportunity for Employees to gather together and hear from our Leaders on the state of our Company and future plans, connect with Fellow Employees, and have fun while enjoying food, drinks, entertainment, and games at the Rally Party. Each city will feature unique on-stage content and party experiences.

2023 Rally Schedule:

  • Wednesday, February 8 – BWI (Baltimore Convention Center)
  • Tuesday, February 21 – LAS (Las Vegas Convention Center)
  • Thursday, March 2 – DAL (Globe Life Field)

Each in-person and virtual Rally Program will run from 2:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. (local time), followed by an in-person Rally Party until 6:30 p.m.

Yes! The entire Rally Program in each city will stream live on the Virtual Hub on this event site. The recording will also be available after the event. Registration is required with your WNCO email address to watch the event live or on-demand. If you plan on tuning in virtually as a group (in a break room, conference room, etc.) we ask that you still register individually so that we know you're joining us.

Selecting the cities for the Southwest Rallies is a tough decision. It’s based on a variety of factors—flight schedules (to offer Employees options to use nonrev privileges to attend), attendance at previous events, weather, workgroup representation, region, Local Employee engagement and support, and overall city attraction.

The Rally Program and Party (including food and drink) are provided to our Employees for free! Hotels, transportation, and other expenses are the attendee’s responsibility.

Those who indicated during the Rally registration process that they had interest in the community volunteer projects will receive an email from Community Outreach providing more information. If you have questions, please contact volunteer@wnco.com

Registration

Absolutely! Contractors and Interns are welcome to attend on their own time and should work with their Leaders on scheduling. If a Contractor or Intern has technical difficulties registering, reach out to SWACulture@wnco.com for assistance.

Retirees can also attend virtually or in person and should email SWACulture@wnco.com to register.

We want to make sure we prioritize Employee attendance, so no external guests are invited to the Rally. Family and friends will be invited to other Company events throughout the year, but Rallies will be internally focused.

To attend in person or virtually, registration is required with your WNCO email address. If you have technical difficulties when registering, email SWACulture@wnco.com.

Accurate registration numbers are crucial to planning and help us keep costs low—from knowing how many seats to have available during the Program to how much food and beverage to order. Please register as soon as possible! If you plan on tuning in virtually as a group (in a break room, conference room, etc.) we ask that you still register individually so that we know you're joining us.

While we hope you can make it, we understand schedules change. By having the most accurate attendance numbers, we are able to plan accordingly and keep costs low.

The good news is that you don't have to cancel your entire registration completely--in fact, we don't recommend that at all. Instead, switch your selection from in-person to virtual, so that you can tune in live from your personal device or come back to the site at a later day to watch the recording.

To change your selection, go to Register> Modify My Registration and once you're signed it, click the "Actions" button next to your name. Click on "Events" to change your event selection, deselect your current option, and then select which event(s) you plan on attending or tuning in for.

Absolutely, and we would love for you to bring your Southwest Cohearts with you! Be sure to register for each Rally so we can plan accordingly.

Please bring your Southwest badge to check in. If you would like to drink alcohol, you must have your government issued ID.

Yes, we understand that schedules can prevent you from attending the entire event. Even if you won’t be able to make the entire event, we still need to know you are coming, so be sure to register. Please keep in mind that the doors to Party will not open until the Program has concluded.

Yes, The Store will be present at all three Rallies with a curated selection of merchandise. When you check in onsite at the Rally, you will receive a $20 credit that can be redeemed at Southwest The Store! We will have Express Lanes if you wish to quickly redeem your $20 credit for a specialty item. Or if you plan to stock up on gear, we will have Full-Service lanes where you can shop and take $20 off your entire purchase. Credit is only valid at the event during Store hours.

Note: If you pre-register for the DAL Rally by February 3, you will be mailed your credential, which will contain your $20 credit for The Store (only valid during the DAL Rally).
